I originally (15 years ago) used a free paint app called VirtualPainter to create the initial image of myself from a self portrait which has a ‘paint’ option within it to convert a photo into various styles (watercolour, screenprint, oils etc), and chose this as the basis because of the post. I cut and pasted on Van Gogh’s hat, selected my beard and made it red, and then used the same app to create the paint marks in blue around the edge.
